With Partyspace the grass is really greener thanks to Go Forest

In 2021 Partyspace started a collaboration with Go Forest, an organisation that restores nature by planting trees in different environments in Peru, Armenia, Congo and Belgium.

Together we plant trees in these four countries, which may sound very trivial, but is in fact the opposite when you know that

  • trees absorb CO2 and thus slow down climate change and regulate the temperature on earth;
  • trees are hotspots for biodiversity, since almost half of all known species live and grow in the forest;
  • forests are of major importance for drinking water, sanitation and irrigation all over the world;
  • 25% of our medicines come from the rainforest, including 70% of cancer medications;
  • more than 1.6 billion people rely on forests for their livelihoods;
  • humans cannot live without forests, whether for exploration, relaxation or pure survival.

Next to planting trees, Go Forest also  contributes highly to research, education, awareness raising and reporting about recent evolutions and developments of the ecosystems in these forests and about (re)forestation.

Above & Beyond from now on plants 75 trees on a monthly basis, each month in one of the four countries where Go Forest is represented. This implies that we yearly plant 225 trees in each of these four countries. That sums up to 900 in total every year! Moreover, on special days we also organise “sprints”. During these periods make big efforts to make the number of trees grow even more. Thanks to an app designed especially for these purposes, we will soon be able to track how many trees we’ve planted, in what stadium of growth they are and what influence they have on the environment and the biodiversity in these particular regions.

Above & Beyond started this project in October 2021 and we can proudly tell you we have already planted 225 trees! Of course we’re always after more and hope to create even more green space in 2022. Do you want to help us to reach our goal in 2022?
