With more than 15 years of experience as a professional race pilot and driver coach, Nico Verdonck has become an expert in motor sports. He likes to share his knowledge with others and therefore founded his own driving academy. We are proud to be Nico's sponsor and we would like to introduce him to you.
Already active in karting since he was 8 years old
Nico was born in the heart of Brussels and caught the motorsport bug at an early age. Nico first started karting at the age of 8. He won three Belgian titles and also several international titles. It soon became clear that racing was his thing, so he pursued his passion as a professional car pilot and built up a large network.
Thanks to his knowledge and experience, he is the ideal person to provide coaching. This is how the idea grew to set up his own driving academy and not much later NV Academy was born. Nico wanted to give something back to his beloved motorsport and at the same time it also offered him a perspective for the future.
With NV Academy he trains people who are taking their first steps in motor sport, but also motor sporters who have already been trained can come to Nico for guidance. These are mainly people with a certain goal, such as driving the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The cooperation with Above & Beyond
Nico got to know Above & Beyond a number of years ago thanks to our newsletter. He was also acquainted with co-owner Louis Thiers, who is active in the world of motorsports himself. This way, contacts were easily made.
