Choosing the right party tent for your garden party in 5 steps

1 | Do you have time to set up the tent, or do you want a tent that can be set up quickly? 

If you are an impulsive person who occasionally decides to invite friends over at the last minute, or if you have completely forgotten about your son's or daughter's birthday party this afternoon and you need to react quickly, you can create a fun party location in no time with a folding tent or star tent. A folding tent can be set up in less than a minute, a star tent takes 30 to 45 minutes. However, if you are well prepared and have planned enough time to set up the tent, you can get started with the tubular frame tent or stretch tent.

2 | Will the tent be set up for a long time or will you take it down after one or a few days?

The PVS partytent and the folding tent are suited for prolonged use (read: several weeks). The star tent is less suitable for long-term use. With the stretch tent, you have 2 options. The Proflexx stretch tent is suitable for short-term use (a few days). However, if you choose a Triflexx stretch tent, it can be used for several months - ideal for a summer full of fun events.

3 | Do you need to be able to close the tent for wind and rain?

If you only use your tent in summer when the weather is good, side walls are often unnecessary. After all, it would be a shame to shut out the sun, wouldn't it? However, if your garden party takes place in winter or autumn, it can be useful to close the tent off from wind and rain. In that case, choose a folding tent, tubular frame tent or star tent, because stretch tents can never be closed as well as the other types of tents. 

4 | Do you have much or little space to set up the tent?

Folding tents and tube frame tents are relatively compact once they are set up. For star and stretch tents including anchoring, you need more space, especially if you set up the tent on a hard surface. Then you need to work with concrete blocks for anchoring.

5 | Are you looking for a standard size or do you prefer a custom-made tent?

Do you need a special sized tent or do you want the tent to be attached to a building?  Then you should choose a stretch tent.  Stretch tents are also the ideal solution for unique locations or events, as they are guaranteed to be the eye-catcher of the party.
